В пособии изложена авторская методика обучения выполнению заданий 40.1 и 40.2 раздела 4 Письменная речь единого государственного экзамена по английскому языку в 2022 году. Настоящее издание знакомит выпускников школы с особенностями интегративного подхода при оформлении ответов на варианты заданий 40.1 и 40.2, при этом обучающимся предоставляется возможность расширить и упрочить знания языка благодаря экзаменационным лексико-грамматическим и синтаксическим упражнениям. Каждый сформированный ответ на задание сопровождается показательным шаблоном, который легко трансформируется в соответствии с авторским стилем. Все ключевые лексические единицы с примерами употребления оформлены в экзаменационный словарь, представленный в конце пособия.

Writing Task 40.1 (Variant 1)

40.1 (1) Imagine that you are doing a project on what can motivate people to apply for a job in Zetland. You have found some data on the subject — the results of the opinion polls (see the table below).

Comment on the data in the table and give your opinion on the subject of the project.

Write 200–250 words.

Use the following plan:

— make an opening statement on the subject of the project;

— select and report 2–3 facts;

— make 1–2 comparisons where relevant;

— outline a problem that can arise with choosing a job and suggest a way of solving it;

— conclude by giving your personal opinion on the importance of a job in human life.

1. [GRAMMAR PRACTICE EXERCISE] Look at the sample answer below and transform words 1–12 in square brackets so they each have a grammatically correct form in the context where they are used. Some words must not necessarily be grammatically transformed.

Everybody agrees that before a job-seeker decides to build a stable career, they often discuss their choice with [1] [THIS] […………………………………………] who can support them.
